ViroStat was founded in 1985 by Dr. Douglas McAllister to provide infectious disease antibody tools to researchers and manufacturers. These include the areas of virology, bacteriology and parasitology. Applications for these include detection of respiratory agents, STD agents, gastrointestinal agents/toxins and food borne pathogens.

 

The company offers more than 500 infectious disease reagents including their MONOTOPE™ monoclonal antibodies, OMNITOPE™ polyclonal antibodies and numerous recombinant antigens. Many of these antibodies are used by manufacturers of rapid, point of care tests currently made and sold in the US.

▍Morpholino介绍

Morpholino属于第三代反义寡核苷酸，主要通过阻断蛋白质翻译过程而达到抑制目标基因功能的作用，目前已经广泛用于发育生物学和细胞学实验中，并取得了非常好的实验效果。

Morpholino以吗啉环类似物为基本骨架，这种独特的结构特性使得Morpholino 具有以下几个特点：

● 与其他类型的反义寡核苷酸相比，Morpholino 能更好地抵抗核酸酶的作用；

● Morpholino 与靶序列结合后通过空间位阻效应发挥作用， 不激活RNaseH，不引起目标基因mRNA 的降解 ；

● 针对翻译起始位点区设计的Morpholino 用于抑制蛋白质的翻译，针对 pre-mRNA 剪切位点区设计的Morpholino 可影响mRNA 剪切，得到不 同的转录本，可以方便地用于目标基因结构域的突变研究；

● 与靶序列结合能力强，可以渗入mRNA 的二级结构， 并且特异性好。

配合Morpholino 的使用，Gene Tools公司开发了相应的递送系统，可以安全、高效地将Morpholino 输送至胞内，因此，Morpholino 也可以用于遗传学研究和新药靶标的发现以及验证。此外，Morpholino 可以标上荧光基团、亲和标签以及活性反应基团，以供不同的研究需要。

Life Diagnotics生产的PEG试剂主要包括抗体、ELISA试剂盒以及PE化蛋白。

（2）PEG ELISA试剂盒：竞争法ELISA检测PEG化蛋白(含甲氧基，或不含甲氧基)；夹心法ELISA快速检测甲氧基PEG(mPEG)和mPEG化蛋白；抗PEG IgG和IgM ELISA试剂盒用于检测小鼠、大鼠和猴血清或血浆中PEG抗体的水平。

此外，Life Diagnostics还提供PEG包被的微孔板和封闭缓冲液，专门设计用于免疫检测PEG或PEG化抗体。大多数商业化的ELISA试剂盒含有去垢剂如Tween-20(一种含有PEG的去垢剂)会干扰PEG的检测。Life Diagnostics公司提供的封闭缓冲液不含去垢剂和PEG, 可用于稳定包被有PEG或PEG抗体的平板。

 

Life Diagnostics除提供多种心肌标志物ELISA检测试剂盒之外，还生产多种纯化的心肌生物标志物蛋白，包括肌钙蛋白I、肌钙蛋白T、肌钙蛋白复合物、肌红蛋白和脂肪酸结合蛋白等，可提供来自不同物种包括人、小鼠、大鼠、豚鼠、兔、狗、猪、牛和猴的蛋白。

Nanoprobes was founded in 1990 by Dr. James F. Hainfeld, along with a group of scientists who were also alumni of Brookhaven National Laboratory. While part of the funding for these endeavors has come from research grants, another source had to be found, as the scientific community faces ever-increasing government cutbacks.
